My Dream

My absolute dream is to raise a family on a farm and have a huge barn on my property to host the events I will plan. I just recently thought of having a small bed and breakfast onsite as well for people such as wedding guests or anyone looking for a rural getaway. 


There is much work to be done to making my dream come true but I couldn't be more excited to pull my boots on and get my hands dirty! 


I just started researching some land:

• location - empty lots or already built houses with room to build a barn?
• price
• acreage 

My Barn!

I want a rustic wooden style barn with exposed beams, a hay loft, wagon wheel chandlers, hay bales, bourbon barrels, and double sliding barn doors. I also want big long curtains or drapes that can be used in place of a door when the weather is nice or the sun is too bright, etc. I am still coming to a decision about the flooring - whether I want all wooden floors or some dirt floors too. The country girl in my wants some dirt but I need to think of how I could make that work! I envision an aisle of horse stalls for storage and maybe one day some horses (if i'm lucky)!

I will have an outside area that is lighted and can be used as an extension of the barn or as a separate event space.
